LezLinkUp started in the summer of 2021 as a whatsapp group to bring together the FLINTA community in Amsterdam with casual meet ups. In over three years time LezLinkUp has grown into an event organizer and connection builder striving for inclusivity and all-round good times!
LezLinkUp is run by Raisa Mulder, who is dedicated to keeping it a community based organization, by always seeking collaborations with queer individuals and organizations, creating a stage for (aspiring) artistic queers and creating a safe space for all queer visitors.
Safer spaces
The main goal has always been to (re)claim spaces for less represented genders and focussing on making these spaces as safe a s possible. Working with an awareness team of volunteers during club nights is one way to ensure safety. However, we also provide community bonding experiences through open mics, art projects such as the Queer Intimacy Exhibition and with the Queer Collective we welcome people for informal meet ups. Bringing intimate gatherings focussed on connection to the scene in Amsterdam.
Collaborations
As a growing community, LezLinkUp has worked together with different organizations such as: Fucking Pop Queers, the Queer Agenda, Sneakout, Club Transmission, KlupKweer, The Self+ Collective, Flip de Drip, Queer Amsterdam at different venues such as 3xNyx, Sexyland, Doka, Paradiso, Tolhuistuin CREA Cafe and more.
